Website redesign
I was hired as a web designer by Leicester College midway through my final year studying graphic design. One of my tasks was to redesign their website. Before diving into the design, I conducted a critical analysis of their old site to identify areas for improvement. My key goals were:
- Enhance the overall user experience by applying design fundamentals, including usability, visual hierarchy, mobile-first responsiveness, clear content structure, and emotional appeal.
- Ensure the website was easily updatable, without requiring coding knowledge.
- Refresh the colour palette for a more modern and appealing look.
- Select a highly legible, modern font to improve accessibility.
